Who are we?

Archistoire^© was created in 2017 from the encounter in 2017 of the CAUE Var and 9b+, a cultural innovation agency. This unprecedented partnership allowed to create this innovative solution that combines intuitive design, quality contents and a truly immersive user experience.

CAUE Var

Resulting from the law on architecture of January 3rd 1977 and created by the Var Departmental in 1984, the CAUE Var, chaired by Manon Fortias, Departmental Councillor, is an association invested with a mission of public interest. Its aim is to promote quality in architecture, urban planning and landscapes in the Department.

As part of its efforts to raise awareness among the general public to “the design of our living environments”, the CAUE Var, at the instigation of its president, Manon Fortias, has wished to make the Archistoire application available to the CAUEs and their territorial partners to host their mediation content in connection with the CAUE themes: architecture, urban planning, environment and landscapes.

Archistoire is thus a unique gateway for discovering architecture, heritage and landscapes for all audiences: tourists, residents and schoolchildren.

9b+ and Syntop

9b+ is a cultural innovation agency that supports brands and territories in the creation of innovative experiences that combine museography and interactivity.

Syntop is a studio for Interaction and Information Design based in Berlin. The studio designs formats for communication and narration in engaging, interactive, playful and immersive ways.

Together, we put our experience of more than 10 years in interactive exhibition design at the service of enhancing the cultural capital of Archistoire destinations.

National Federation of CAUEs

The National Federation of CAUEs ensures the representation, promotion and protection of CAUEs in France. It supports the development of Archistoire on a national scale.
